Amateur Offer for Rising Stars
Relentless Promotions announce Amateur offer ahead of Professional show
The amateur scene, in any region of the United Kingdom, is important to the progression of any sport.
Within the sport of boxing the same can be said and the co-owners of new Tyneside company, Relentless Promotions, recognise the fact as we head into what promises to be a busy 2015.
Over the past twelve months several fighters from the amateur scene have turned professional. The most recent are Darlington duo, John Green, and Steven Cooper, the latter whom will be appearing at Rising Stars.
Cooper, 1-0, joins the like of Fighting Chance duo Andrew Buchanan Paul O’Hagan in Gateshead, Teesside Abdon Cesar, and big hitter Basi Razaq, ‘Rising Stars’ is more than apt. There may even be the addition of another debutant as we head into ‘Geordie Roar’ in April.
Their progression into the pro ranks has given ‘Relentless’ food for thought and co-owner, Steve Wraith, is putting a gesture in continuance of the season of good will to the regions amateur clubs.
“We thought that, with the new company being made official on Christmas Eve, which was a great present for Danny Cox and I, that we would spread that festive joy into the regions amateur fight scene,” began Steve.
The offer being presented is open to any boxing club around the region with 20 tickets per club (maximum of 200 combined) at £20 per ticket and will see each club receive half of each ticket they receive to go back into the club.
“We feel that doing something like this encourages the younger generations to come and experience firsthand what a professional show is like,” continued Steve.
“The offer will be for our Rising Stars show at the Gateshead Leisure Centre on February 7 and we will be out and about during the upcoming year at the amateur shows to see what the talent is like, to source those up and coming stars of the future.
“We are delighted that the like of Forest Hall and Grainger Park have taken up their allocations and they are selling really well, let’s hope other clubs can follow their lead and do the same.”
To take up this offer and to receive your tickets for ‘Rising Stars’ email Steve Wraith on firstname.lastname@example.org with ‘Boxing Ticket’ as the subject header before the end of January.
