PETER GEORGE MANN
193 Bek Road
I have been writing voluntarily for online and print publications since mid-2007 including recent work experience at two of the north-east regional sports desks (The Journal and The Northern Echo, the latter where I presently contribute weekly sports content). Over this period of freelance writing I have enhanced my communication and multimedia skills, knowledge of journalism and have a wealth of experience.
In 2012 I completed a BSc Honours Degree in Sport & Exercise Psychology at the University of Teesside. I have completed the National Council of Trainee Journalists (NCTJ) Sports Journalism Module and presently studying the NCTJ Diploma in Journalism at Darlington College where I’m working towards 100wpm shorthand.
As a confident writer I have created a niche in the world of boxing and gained my own, weekly, boxing column with The Northern Echo (In the Ring) as well as covering other sports, and I am now looking for that next, fully bona fide challenge with which I sincerely hope that my Media CV will be of interest to you.
I am willing to relocate, continue with any relevant training programmes and available for interviews immediately.
